Program Areas of On Earth Peace
- Peace Education
The Peace Education program area of On Earth Peace is dedicated to developing leadership for peace in each new generation. By providing educational materials, interactive workshops, peace retreats and opportunities for youth and adults to grow in leadership, On Earth Peace works to promote peace education in the Church of the Brethren. On Earth Peace recognizes the strength that is gained when people of faith gather to share ideas with one another, learn new concepts, and practice techniques that can be taken into the world.
- Peace Witness
On Earth Peace’s Peace Witness program provides support and encouragement for individuals, congregations, and other church groups that wish to take action on issues of violence and oppression. This program helps make it easy for folks in the church to speak up on the issues they care about. Do you need support to speak up or act on an issue that you’re concerned about? Would you like help figuring out how your congregation can come alive as a living peace church?
- Ministry of Reconciliation
The Ministry of Reconciliation (MoR) is the conflict transformation program of On Earth Peace. From providing workshop leadership and meeting facilitation services to consulting with congregations that may be experiencing conflict, MoR serves the then entire church. Call us for faith-based workshops that equip you and your congregation with the skills you need to work together peacefully. Contact us if you have an interest in meeting with a consultant about disagreements in your congregation. Our volunteer practitioners share a deep faith in Christ, a high level of skills, and a commitment to serve the church.i
