Samantha Carwile
I'm from Anderson COB, in the South/Central Indiana District. I will be going into my junior year at Manchester College, majoring in Peace Studies. While on the Peace Team, I am looking forward to traveling throughout the states, going to NYAC, experiencing God's creation, building relationships with campers and staff, and inspiring all whom we encounter in the benevolent ways of peace.

Gabe Dodd
This year, I am a sophomore at Bridgewater College with a Communications Studies major and a Peace studies minnor. In the fall, I'm transferring to Middle Tennessee State University to Major in Recording Industry with a concentration in Production and Technology and a minor in Music Business. I have highly anticipated being on the Youth Peace Travel Team for years and look forward to getting close to new people. I think it is very important to teach kids about peace, and I think campers will have as much of an affect on me as I plan to have on them. It is also important to step outside of my own box and visit other camps and meet people in different parts of the country. I look forward to taking a lot out of this experience and hopefully have an impact on the church as a whole. I am a member of Bethany Church of the Brethren in Delaware.

I will be a sophomore at Mcpherson College, in McPherson, Kansas. I attend the McPherson Church of the Brethern. I am excited to travel the U.S to different camps and to be helpful in as many ways as possible. I look forward to spending my summer devoted to the peace and am eager to help spread the message of peace to as many youth as possible.

John-Michael Pickens
I will be a Senior at Messiah College in the Fall. I am majoring in Theology with a Peace and Conflict Studies minor. I used to live in Kenya,
and those experiences have really shaped and molded me as I've gotten older.
I am looking forward to working with my fellow team members and getting to
know them better. I am also looking forward to learning about peace from different angles. The chance to teach others on how to live a life of peace
also excites me. I joined the YPTT because I consider it an honor and a
pleasure to have a chance to speak to people of all ages of how living a
life of peace can make this broken world a better place. |
