Donnie Grossnickle said he had never had so many people pray for his crop before. That’s what happened on Sunday June 11, at the Wolfsville Rd. farm where Grossnickle rents land for crop production. Members of the Grossnickle Church of the Brethren, Myersville, along with their partners at Hagerstown and Welty Churches of the Brethren, gathered to pray for a bountiful crop, the proceeds of which will benefit their Growing Project through the Foods Resource Bank.

The Foods Resource Bank (FRB) is a Christian humanitarian organization with a mission of “providing food security in the developing world through sustainable small-scale agricultural production, thereby allowing hungry people to know the dignity and pride of feeding themselves.” Revenues to support these programs are generated through community “Growing Projects” involving landowners, farmers, businesses and churches.
